One of the only dudes in town that really doesn’t give a damn about anything is Raaaaaaaaaaaay. He pretty much rides the same height that people with air ride park at. Yeah he knows that shit will break, but to him “You Gotta Pay To Play”. His previous car (Honda Fit) was slammed like hell and everyone knew that one day something bad was gonna happen, but of course Ray didn’t give a shit. Then that day came and he hit a manhole in a construction zone totaling the car.
Flash forward to now and he is even more lower then before. Plus this time its a Mini Cooper S so everything is way more expensive to fix than the Fit, but once again…. Raaaaaaaaaaaay Doesn’t Give A Shit

I am really surprised you havent had axle problems like I have in my R56 being that low. I wonder if the R53s are just better at it or if the combo of 16s and an R53 doesnt have the same axle problems my slammed R56 (KW V2s) and 17s are causing these problems as I am on axle 18 now.

Jaremy, I have had axle issues. Not as much as people would think. My only problem is the boots rip (inners) the grease flings and I drive on them till they get hot and bind. One time I kept driving and driving ignoring the sounds. When I got home my car reeked of burning smells and smoked for a good 10min. Pulled the axle and what was left had got so hot it had that “burnt” look people pay extra for on exhaust tips.I get them rebuilt for $40 per side. The most recent rebuild they tried longer boots to prevent stretching. So far so good.
I believe Im going on 4 axles per side? However, I also have my engine raised 1in.

When is the next Orlando event?

Damn, Ray you make my R53 look like it’s stock height -_- I have the same axle issue, vibration under tow, causing stress on the boot. Luckily the boot hasn’t torn yet, but I dread the day it does. I’m thinking about raising my engine too, maybe that will sort out the axle issue. Sick Mini btw! I’ll probably run into you at SC4.
Wait… Jaremy, you’re on axel number 18?! Try lifting the engine a bit or running longer boots like Ray said.

This is crazy!! I don’t think my balls are big enough to do this! lol. I have a slammed r53 that made quite a bit of noise this year at h2oi. Just bought a new set of wheels hopefully looking to make a bigger appearance next year. thats besides the fact. Ray, your car is the shit.

Need some info! Just lowered my mini maxed out on my bc racing coils but my axles are taking a beating. Does anyone know how to lift the motor? I cant find a set of motor mount spacers made to lift the motor up on my r53. Is this something custom made? Any info would be great! Thanks!
